A Visit to Cigugur Village
Cigugur, a village located at the foot of mount Ciremai just five kilometers from Kuningan City, West Java. I made a visit to Cigugur on October 2006 to see the highly tolerant community despite the diversity of their religion. Sunda Wiwitan or Agama Djawa Sunda is also part of that diversity with the main figure of the village, Prince Jatikusuma. Every year the people of Cigugur celebrate Seren Taun which a ceremony to celebrate to togetherness of all religions in Indonesia including native traditional Indonesian like Sunda Wiwitan.

Seren Taun is celebrated every 12 Raya agung of the sundanese calendar which fall to 12 January on the year 2007.

The is an ongoing project and not yet finished.
